Tim Soulis asked me to post the question: is there a good alternative to Podium? What do jewelers know about TextMeChat?
Tim and I spent an hour on the phone yesterday with Anish Desai, who owns Star Gems, and his very cool assistant Elle.
I can't see any good reason to go with Podium at $400 a month, when TextMeChat at $95 a month, does the same thing, and it looks more than Podium.
You get to decide that for yourself, of course. But you owe it to yourself to check out TextMeChat.
The marketing possibilities are endless with text messaging -- and TextMeChat makes it easier than Podium does to do that. Collecting reviews is one thing, an dboth do that. Group marketing -- huge potential here -- at appears that Podium does not allow for. And TextMeChat does.
TextMeChat is simple, slick, and powerful. Should you tie it into Anish's Custom Studio, it's all the more poweful and affordable. The potential and opportunities are endless -- at a fraction of the cost of Podium.
This isn't to say that Podium isn't a great program; it is, by all accounts. But if you can have the same, and greater, capabilities, with TextMeChat, for $95 vs. $400 a month -- and TextMeChat has no contract -- it seems a no-brainer.
