This is a great one for around Chinese New Year, or just any time where you want to have some fun and promote your store!(The first day of each Chinese year will always fall sometime between January 21 and February 21)

Set up a huge bowl of fortune cookies in the center of the counter. Everyone who brings in a repair gets to take a fortune cookie. Make sure to insert coupons and ticket for prizes in a few of the cookies! That's the fun part.

Make it a two or three day event where you serve Chinese food for lunch and be sure to decorate with Chinese lanterns, dragon masks and other festive decor. Keep a Camera at the ready.
Use this as a marking campaign to show off as the jeweler who likes to have fun and enjoy other cultures!

How to Promote this:
Send out direct mail invitations in an oriental cloth purse to your entire data base of customers. It will be fun to see our customers carrying around that little cloth purse months after the event. If you really want to get fancy, you can have you name imprinted on them, before you send them out.
Make sure to take plenty of pictures of customers enjoying the food and trying on the fun masks you placed around the store. Post these pictures on your facebook page and other social media.
